DC CODA Events - The opportunity

Are you passionate about supporting the CODA community in the Washington D.C. area? Do you have some time and energy to dedicate to making our events a success? If so, we'd love to have you join our amazing team of volunteers!  

DC CODA hosts a variety of engaging and supportive events throughout the year, designed to connect, empower, and celebrate CODA individuals and their families. From workshops and social gatherings to community outreach initiatives, our events rely on the dedication of volunteers like you to run smoothly and create a positive experience for everyone involved.

• Event Setup & Teardown: Help us prepare our venues and pack up afterward.
• Registration & Welcome: Greet attendees, check them in, and provide information.
• Activity Facilitation: Assist with leading games, crafts, or discussions.
• Logistics Support: Help with signage, directions, and general event flow.
• Outreach & Promotion: Help spread the word about our upcoming events.

Anyone with a passion for supporting the CODA community! We welcome individuals from all backgrounds and experience levels. While familiarity with Deaf culture and ASL is a plus, it is not always required for every role – we'll help you find the perfect fit.
