DC CODA Events - The opportunity

 DC CODA Events is looking for a talented Deaf or CODA videographer to help us capture the energy, creativity, and connection at our community events. This is an opportunity to use your visual storytelling skills to amplify Deaf voices and culture. 

• Capture high-quality video footage of DC CODA Events, including workshop, performances, and community interactions
• Edit footage into short clips or promotional content for social media and future outreach
• Ensure Deaf culture and community values are respectfully and accurately represented in all visual storytelling 
• Work closely with event organizers to plan shot list and coverage needs

• Must identify as Deaf or a CODA
• Experience in videography, filming live events, and post production editing 
• Proficiency with video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
• Ability to work independently while staying aligned with event goals and messaging
• Strong visual storytelling skills with a sensitivity to culture and community context
• ASL Fluency required
