Milana Pilco is a passionate advocate for the Deaf community and disability rights. As a Child of a Deaf Adult (CODA), she brings a unique perspective to her work. Milana previously held positions as a Human Resource Specialist and Disability Employment Program Manager at USAID, where she recruited individuals with disabilities, provided federal resume coaching, and organized outreach events.

With 18 years of federal employment, Milana has specialized in EEO, affirmative employment, reasonable accommodations, and sign language interpreting. After a federal layoff in January 2025, she founded DC Coda Events to empower the Deaf community and nurture future leaders, creating supportive spaces for CODAs and KODAs to develop their identities and leadership skills.

Milana earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland and holds certifications in sign language interpretation. Known for her vibrant personality, she crafts memorable events infused with humor, warmth, and professionalism.
